Medical - Medical (general) / Oncology
Spanish term or phrase: bloque a1
In a medical (biopsy) report:
"Se reciben múltiples fragmentos... que se incluyen en su totalidad en el bloque A1. 1B-HE."
Anyone knows what the "bloque A1" refers to? I found a reference in a book about evolutionary biology (https://bit.ly/2Ib6H0q), however this looks a bit far-fetched and hardly explains the "1B-HE" detail.

H&E stain - Wikipedia

It is the most widely used stain in medical diagnosis and is often the gold standard (e.g. when a pathologist looks at a biopsy of a suspected cancer, the histological section is likely to be stained with H&E). A combination of hematoxylin and eosin, it produces blues, violets, and reds.

Reference information:
Here are a couple of references (in English) that discuss sample ID protocols for for biopsy procedures.

https://www.ucsfhealth.org/education/cancer_pathology_tissue...

This is a long article; see Table 2, on p. 1519:
http://www.archivesofpathology.org/doi/pdf/10.5858/arpa.2014...

In general: Blocks of tissue are cut from a specimen (from a surgery or biopsy) & given a sequential access number, for example "A". Then slides may be cut from Block A; they might be sequentially numbered, starting with 1. So, the first slide from Block A would be Slide A1. In the ST for this question, the term used is "bloque a1", so they're clearly using a slightly different system; without more context, we can't know for sure what the system is.
