Diagnóstico Clínico/Antecedentes: Biopsia core de área hipoecogénica, mal definida, de aproximadamente 1 cm, en CSE de mama izquierda, Birads 4. Obs fibrosis del estroma.

Alguien sabe a que cosa se refiere que está mal definida? Pensé que podía referirse a una imagen, pero es una biopsia core por lo que no es posible.

I think it has its usual meaning and that it qualifies not the biopsy but the hypoechoic area (área hipoecogénica), which inherently refers to an area on an ultrasound image. Since hypoechoic means something (a mass or area) that doesn't reflect waves very strongly, it is almost automatically ill-defined.

So there was this ill-defined hypoechoic area of about 1 cm on the ultrasound and they took a biopsy to see what it was.
