I'm not sure about the PVP part and I was wondering if someone can help me with this.

Also called TKO (to keep open) or KVO (keep vein open):

"TKO: to keep open
Can someone explain what this means and what the purpose of having an IV fluid run TKO is?
Some institutions call it "KVO," or "keep vein open," and it's a rate of 20 mL or 30 mL an hour - 0.9 Normal Saline Solution is used."
