Mining & Minerals / Gems / Mining projects

agree  Richard Boulter: I like this best, or just 'mine closure'. I would use 'shutdown' as 'shut down the operaions and close the mine'. 'Shutdown' as a single word is used more-idiomatically than 'close closure' in my perception. Whatever fits your context; language is fun

agree  Patricia Rosas: I just checked on "mine closure" and it seems to be the most used term; jfyi "closedown" is not a word.

exploitation, the work of extracting the minerals

Explanation:
Just a total guess, but the fourth (and usually the last stage in the mining process) is mine "exploitation"
If Mine Abandoment o Mine Disposal are not what you are looking for, then this might be a possibility for you......

if not, then I really like Chriswa's idea of just "Closedown" or shutdown operations
