(are you by chance referring to the following poem/song lyrics?)

Explanation:
Me llenastes de mentiras,
Porque eras una mentira,
Eras un anonimato,
En fin, nada en la vida.

Como el aire, eras tu,
Se sentia, no se tocaba,
Susurrabas en los oidos,
En fin, no eras nada.

Como tormenta, tu llegabas,
Destruias y te marchabas,
Queriendo dejar cicatrices,
Pero en fin, no eras nada.

Como el sol eras tu,
Que solo tu quemabas,
Queriendo dejar cenizas,
Pero en fin, no eras nada.

Como el mar eras tu,
Que la arena la arrastraba,
La llevaba la traia,
Pero en fin, no eras nada.

Un fantasma eras tu,
Un fantasma de mentira,
Los fantasmas no existen,
Eso, eras tu en mi vida.

The speaker starts by saying "You filled me with falsehoods..." (or, less poetically, "lies"), continues by saying that the person spoken to is like the air, the sun, and the sea (translated literally below):

Como el aire eras tu = Like the air, you were
Como el sol eras tu = Like the sun, you were
Como el mar eras tu = Like the sea, you were

and ends most of the verses with "But in the end, you were nothing..."
