Spanish term or phrase: baldosas de gongrani, lamina de celotez suspendidas en aluminio, cierre de manig
Hi everyone,
These are terms that have appeared in a Risk Inspection report from Panama.
Baldosas are tiles but the gongrani has me stumped! Any suggestions?
Lamina de celotex suspendido en aluminio - they are referring to a ceiling, the celotex is puzzling me!
The last is the lock on the vault (the premises are used by a bank) cierre de manigueta.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Jenette

English translation:gongrani tiles, cellotex, sash-lift
Explanation:
These are building jargon.

Gongrani tiles= this is a brand or a type of tile made of granite. It can be the name of the location where the tiles were made. It could be from Italy where there are many tile factories. Grani=abbrv. of granito in Spanish, building jargon

In English, cellotez (or celotek) is cellotex, also known as technical ceiling (techo técnico). It is a suspending ceiling modular type, made of a mix of hard cardboard, chaff and bagasse. It is prefab and widely used.

In Spanish, manigueta is the same a manilla, manija, manivela, etc. I would translate it as sash-lift or small rotary handle.

I hope this will help you
