venta a distancia

English translation: Mail order and distance selling

Spanish to English translations [PRO]
Spanish term or phrase: venta a distancia
In the event of a "venta a distancia". A long distance sale does not make any sense, so I thought maybe it was more along the lines of "remote". And so I have asked for help.

remote sale/remote selling

Explanation:
Yes, I agree that remote works better here - sale or selling depending on the context.

distance selling, tele-shopping, remote selling

Explanation:
When you talk about "cursos a distancia" you use "distance learning". I feel "distance selling" is a good translation for "venta a distancia". Of course, you can also try to use something with "remote". Have a look at this URL, http://www.outreachtech.com/news/releases/v35.asp, and you'll find info on "remote selling".

"These providers are using Embrace as the foundation for enhanced service offerings that include integrated voice and data conferencing for collaboration, remote selling, and web customer care."

Hope it helps!

Long distance sales

Explanation:
Unless of course you could use 'mail order', though this specifically means selling by post.
The big problem with using remote in terms of business is that it also means 'unlikely' therefore 'remote sales'can also sound as if they are improbable sales. Hope this helps rather than complicates.
