Spanish term or phrase: Levantine
Can we use this expression to describe the inhabitants of the Levante?

I seem to remember that we use that expression to describe the Lebanese rather than the Valencians.

Any term for "The Levante" or is "as is" possible?

Cheers,

Thanks,

I guess from context they'll gather I am not talking about a massive Lebanese community here in "Greater Catalonia" ;-)

The Spanish Levant, from the Spanish Levant

Explanation:
You're dead on, Levantines are Lebanese! But the term itself comes from "levante" (east) as opposed to "poniente" (where the sun sets). So you'll have to specify which east.
