this word 'paral' ...


Explanation:
If you have a confirmed translation for it, I'd be v. grateful to know - it's been bugging me! I have a suspicion that it's the metal part of the car frame between the windscreen and the side window, but I can't put my finger on the right word for this. I came across an article on the web that was a review of a new car and criticised the fact that 'el paral' was 'grueso' and thus constituted a blind spot for the driver - I can't think what else that could be. But if you do find out ..!
