Spanish to English translations [Non-PRO]
Spanish term or phrase: carta de pasantía
This is a letter or certificate granted by the Mexico National Autonomous University to state that a student, after having completed his studies, has complied with a term (normally 6 months) of obligatory service in an institution, such as the Mexican Social Service Institute. Would you call it an internship, or is there a better name for this? Please answer to [email protected]. Thank you.

degree candidate letter

Explanation:
The "pasante" in essence is a person who has passed his or her courses and can practice in an internship capacity, but still has some requirements pending for the degree itself, such as completion of internship, social service, thesis, etc.; thus "degree candidate". This has been asked and answered before.

    Have translated many of these.
