Take advantage, Take the opportunity, To make the best ..etc.,
Explanation:
Each sentence has a different translation in English:

"tengo que aprovechar que estas aqui ",=
"I have to take advantage of your being here"

"aprovecha que vienieron para preguntarles " = "Take the opportunity of their comming to ask them"

I have to make the best of the opportunities of life"

agree  AngelaMR: These are all good expressions, but I would still use "take advantage of" in all of the above sentences. It's natural.

To take advantage of

Explanation:
"I need to take advantage of the situation, that you're here." para
"tengo que aprovechar que estas aqui "
y "It's not everyday that they ask you, (so answer)" para
y "I need to make use of the opportunities that life throws me."
