neutral  Rick Henry: I don't think this is the case... If you google for "foto tramada" it refers to the way a photo is processed on newsprint or paper.

I believe these are interchangeable: however if it's a very technical document it's probably worth checking the preferred English usage in context.

The Photo-Engraving print is easy to be recognized with the magnifying glass; the lines are formed by a crowd of minuscule united points but that, at a glance, gives the impression of a uniform line (for juxtaposition).

Magnesium alloys are used in the printing industry for the production of photo engraving plate.

In the flexography process, images to be reproduced are captured on photosensitised AZ31 Magnesium alloy plates. The coating is then hardened using intense lighting. When the coating is etched with acid, less attack occurs in the darker areas and an image is produced on the metal surface. This is then used to produce a printed image.
