Reference information:
A positive is a film or paper record of a scene that represents the color and luminance of objects in that scene with the same colors and luminances (as near as the medium will allow). Color transparencies are an example of positive photography: the range of colors presented in the medium is limited by the tonal range of the original image (dark and light areas correspond). It is opposed to a negative where colors and luminances are reversed: this is due to the chemical or electrical processes involved in recording the scene. Positives can be turned into negatives by appropriate chemical or electronic processes. Often, with the use of digital imaging, computers can automatically complete this process.

A positive image is a normal image. A negative image is a total inversion, in which light areas appear dark and vice versa. A negative color image is additionally color-reversed[1], with red areas appearing cyan, greens appearing magenta and blues appearing yellow, and vice versa.

Film negatives usually have less contrast, but a wider dynamic range, than the final printed positive images. The contrast typically increases when they are printed onto photographic paper. When negative film images are brought into the digital realm, their contrast may be adjusted at the time of scanning or, more usually, during subsequent post-processing.

The result of a properly exposed pinhole photograph using photo paper will be a negative image. Here is an example from my pinhole camera:

Pinhole photographs are always negatives.

Unless someone comes up with a better solution, I think 'positive pinhole image/photograph' would work.

-> Marie, thank you for the 'agree' and the compliment. My old photo must have been taken about five years ago and I thought it was about time I showed the world what I really look like!
agree  Charles Davis: I agree with Marie: nice new photo! I'm sure you're right here, and I imagine that "en positivo" is specified because pinhold photos are by default negative images, but you can easily make a positive from them by contact printing.

-> Yes, I realise that I've forgotten to include any references that explain the negative -> positive process. Thanks, Charles, for agreeing with the references and Marie's comment :-)
