revue in six scenes

Explanation:
a "cuadro" refers to a section of the revue that does not involve a change of set or scenery -- so "scene" rather than "act", which is a much larger unit.

a revista is a "revue" or (more rarely) "revista" in English.

Here's the difference btw revista and musical comedy, from Wiki:

agree  Simon Bruni: here's the Oxford definition of revue: a light theatrical entertainment of short sketches, songs, and dances, typically dealing satirically with topical issues.

-> Yes, thx. The only reason to consider 'revista' is the fact, mentioned in the Wiki, that revistas were generally done by all (or mostly) women performers.

revista can be translated as "revue" but all mentions of this Domingo de piñata say it is an Opera (possibly it could be an operetta, i.e. not as serious?) but there is a big difference between revue and opera/operetta
