As far as use is concerned, a search on Google reveals more than 5,000 hits of \"bromología\" and \"España\" more than 1,000 hits of \"bromólogo\" plus \"México\". With a form of bromatólogo (-a, -os, -as) and España there are 150 hits, and 120 hits for a form of bromatólogo (-a, -os, -as) and México.

So the science is much more common to talk about using this terminology than these terms for the scientist. This may be because of the use of \"nutricionista\" and, when so designated, \"dietista\".

Thank you. Very thorough.
Although in this case it is not related to nutrition. This is the person who works with food hygiene and safety and often conducts inspections etc in that regard.
Food Scientist will do.

agree  Walter Lockhart Ries (X): Michael, you could refine those Google searches with "site:es" and "site:mx" instead of España and México.

Not in Mexico.

Explanation:
Primero pensé que era un especialista en bromas... je, je.
Jamás había escuchado ese término (sabrán disculpar mi ignorancia) en mis 29 años en México.
Pregunta: ¿qué es un bromatólogo?
Suerte.
