Spanish term or phrase: Partidas pendientes de aplicación
is the name of a standard account in the Spanish General System of Accounts or Plan General de Contabilidad. It is used when, for instance, you receive income from an unknown source (money is deposited in your bank account by an unknown person). This account represents the unknown person. Once the identity of this person is disclosed a new entry is made and "Partidas pendientes de aplicación" is cleared. My guess is "Pending application," but there surely must be a name for this type of account, intended for provisional situations. Thanks for your help!

Partidas pendientes
Explanation:
Items pending. . which means that they don't know where they are going to put them. That, I think covers the whole ball of wax

"Items Pending" seems the best bid to me, together with "Pending application" and "Suspense Account". Well, probably every response was valid, but a was looking for an established term. It looks like some terms are established only regionally or depending on the trade. I worked for 23 years in the hotel industry (including Holiday Inns) but never heard of "House Account". Therefore, I guess terms are established regionally. Thanks to all.

Unidentified Payments

Explanation:
es la frase que conozco, de uso en una compañía con quien trabajo. Un diccionario de términos financieros dice 'outstanding payments' para 'partidas pendientes' pero ese no es el caso aquí.

Accounts Receivable: Pending Entries

Explanation:
It depends on your ledger's format. Some software packages allow for this type of entries when the customer's account hasn't been credited yet. It seems to be a kind of temporary file.

Accounts Receivable: Pending Payments

Explanation:
I am substantially agreeing with Camy. Payments/Entries could also be debits (to the company) or credits (to the account holder). Good luck.

partidas pendientes - "house account"

Explanation:
Most accounting systems allow for a generic placement of charges, until an allocation is specified, or until all charges are gathered and billed. I work in the hotel industry. If several guests' accounts are to be billed to their company, we place these charges into a 'house account' until they check out. Charges are then compiled in this 'house account' and billed to the company. Las otras respuestas dicen la misma cosa, más o menos, pero en la industria de posada, se dice 'house account'.
