I assume you have enough context to tell whether this refers to people ("team") or things ("equipment"). If you can't tell, try *field unit*, as that would be ambiguous enough to cover both (a "trick of the trade")

Thanks for all your research. In fact, after checking around, it seems that "playa" here is really just used as the "yard" or "area" of the facility in question, and that "equipos de playa" is just the equipment found there.
