Spanish to English translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering
Spanish term or phrase:el cedente de tecnología
contract specifications when several suppliers are involved in a contract-one being responsible for the technology etc.
Explanation: Hola. I believe "assignor" is what you are after. It is either the chap who grants the use of something or basically the guy in charge of it (principal or jefe). As I don't know exactly what rank he's got, then "assignor" should do fine. Check this out: "Assistance. At the request of Assignee, Assignor shall promptly and fully assist Assignee in effecting the purpose and intent of the foregoing conveyance and grant including , but not limited of, executing any and all documents necessary to secure rights in all Technology in Assignee." Hope it fits, cheerio :-)
Explanation: MoDiaz is right. The terms used in a license agreement are:
license agreement = contrato de licencia
technology license agreement = contrato de licencia de tecnología
to license = licenciar, otorgar una licencia;
licensee = cesionario/concesionario de licencia
licensor = cedente/concedente otorgante de licencia
