This is a petrochemical plant. They talk a great deal about electricity and not at all about fluids, so I'm wondering if "fluidos" here means "currents." Thanks!

properties of fluid being handled, properties of handled fluid
Explanation:
If it is a petrochemical plant, it is very likely that they handle fluids(liquids), so I would stick with fluid.

properties of the controlled fluid

Explanation:
It is a very straight translation. Controlled fluid is a widely used term in enginnering. I am an engineer. It fits also well in the context.

properties of the fluid being handled

Explanation:
The data listed in your document are normally found in the line list (a list of pipeline numbers) for a chemical or refining project, and are the properties required to calculate the size, thickness, and metallurgy of the pipe used to transport the fluid. The properties referred to are: pressure, temperature, specific gravity, viscosity, flow rate, and sometimes molecular weight. Remember that a fluid can be either a liquid or a gas, and that the flow may or may not be controlled.

Gris, take a look at the section title...

Explanation:
because "fluido", at least in Mexico, is used by engineers, electrical and petrochemical alike, for both liquids and electricity. Electricity is a "fluido" also, so base the translation on context. If the are talking about both liquids and electricity, both should appear in your translation.

Best regards
