The info you provide is insufficient in order to clarify if the "tajo" is the trench or ditch excavated for laying the foundations of a building or if it is a trhough cut. Nevertheless, it states that it goes over the trench: "...el paso sobre el tajo de la obra" so, I would assume that it involves a trench crossing and would, therefore be " the crossing over the trench of the construction work"....
