AV Receiver Explanation: Hi again AMIN! I guess it is a kind of "tuner" but I believe it's more correctly known as an "AV Receiver". By the way, the "AV" means "Audio-Video". It's a receiver that you can use to interconnect your TV, VCR, Satellite or Cable reception, DVD, and speakers. They're fantastic.
