blacking (carbon)

Explanation:
From Termium:

blacking s CORRECT

blacking carbon s CORRECT,USA

DEF - Powdered graphite or other carbonaceous matter used by foundrymen as a powder or wash in the inner surfaces of a mould, to protect the sand and improve the finish of the casting

N.B.: I assume you are still working on vehicles? *cinética* = constant velocity. The whole word would be *homocinética* (CV joint). Our Vanagon's CV joint went out in Mexico, and we had a dickens of a time locating the right Mexican term, so we could tell the VW people in Xalapa what was wrong.
