Explanation:
...or, if the items being displayed are paintings or drawings, etc., the standard term in English is "hanging" (as in "hanging the exhibition"), which refers generally to the position of the various works of art on the walls of the exhibit rooms, and the decisions as to which works will be placed in which rooms, and so on. -- If the items on display in the exhibit are sculptures or historical artifacts (that is, anything that isn't essentially flat and therefore cannot be hung on a wall), then the term "exhibition plan" is more appropriate. It involves not only the placement and positioning of the works of art, but also the path that visitors will follow from one area in the museum to another. "Museum design" relates more specifically to the architectural planning of the museum building itself, rather than to the arrangement of individual exhibits inside it. -- Suerte!

disagree  johnnorman: One site does not a pattern make. "Museographic design" occurs 12 times on Internet, mainly in foreign sites. "Exhibition design" occurs thousands of times.
