Spanish term or phrase:urdimbre de ligamento / base
Description of a cloak (13th century)
It seems clear to me except for the part between *asterisks*, and I am assuming that the key to this part lies in the meaning of "urdimbre de ligamento" and "urdimbre de base".
I queried this whole passage with the author, and the response was: "there are two warps", which did not thrown a great deal of light on the matter. I found the terms "binding warp" and "foundation warp" wandering lonely around the Ethernet, so I took them and put them in my translation.
