Mea culpa...


Explanation:
Expression latine provenant de la priere au bas de l'autel (Rite catholique romain PIE V)... Avant de monter a l'autel le prete devait se purifier par des prieres. La sommet de celles-ci etait atteint au moment du Confiteor (Confession publique ou officiant et assistants se reconnaissaient pecheurs). Ils disaient alors trois fois "Mea culpa", "Mea maxima culpa",. en se frappant la poitrine.

Apres le Concile Vativan II, quand la messe pouvait etre dite en d'autres langues que le latin, "Mea culpa {3X}, Mea maxima culpa" ont ete traduits en francais par '"C'EST MA FAUTE (3X), C'EST MA TRES GRANDE FAUTE"
