Non avendo trovato nessuna attestazione per 'deje de cuentas' ho presunto che si trattasse di un errore di battitura e cioè che volessero dire 'jefe de cuentas'. E' solo una supposizione, non ci potrei giurare.

agree  cmolinari: Deje de cuenta. Renuncia o limitación.... Derecho propio del destinatario es el “deje de cuenta”, puede apartarse o abandonar el contrato, cuando por causa de avería las cosas quedan inútiles para su venta.
