Swedish to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Electronics / Elect Eng / Wind Turbines
Swedish term or phrase: Kröy
This appears in a list of minor faults found in a wind turbine installation.
It appears in two lines as follows:
Torn. Kröy. SKF-signalkabel har brott på skärm.
Torn. Kröy. SKF-signalkabel hänger löst i torndel.
Other faults are in the form 'General area. Item . What is wrong' , e.g.
Bottenplan. Kabelgenomföring, skydd saknas.
So it probably refers to a piece of equipment to which cables are connected.

English translation:something to do with yaw, yawing
Explanation:
I suspect this is an attempt at the Danish ´krøje´ with Swedish spelling.

A lot of wind turbine development went on in Denmark and the original documentation was in Danish.

It could also mean 'yaw mechanism' in the context of the report I translated. As noted however, the report uses "Yaw" elsewhere, which is confusing.
Many thanks, Christine!
The transfer from Danish has been dealt with before, see http://www.proz.com/kudoz/danish_to_swedish/tech_engineering/168808-kr%C3%B8jeleje.html

agree  Agneta Pallinder: yaw mechanism - definition fits perfectly with definition of kroejevaerk - http://tinyurl.com/l7mb84p - great lateral - or should it be vertical thinking Christine!
