Swedish to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Engineering (general)
Swedish term or phrase: intunnling
A term relating to the construction of railway lines.
Possibly synonymous with överdäckning.

agree  Paul Armitage: From my experience in tunnelling and civil engineering, I think Deane's cut-and-cover is correct. Edit: just realised that cut-and-cover is really the method, and is OK here, but 'open cut' might be better in the context.
