Asker: Thanks. I should however make it clear that I have no problem translating the concept. My query is rather whether there is an accepted English translation of the legislation referred to. I couldn't find one.

This is way outside my field of expertise but the question is interesting.
"Compulsory mental care is regulated by two laws in Sweden - one for mentally disturbed individuals in general and another for those who have commited crimes while suffering from one or more serious mental disorders.
