act governing personal case study Explanation: "Personutredning" is translated as "personal case study" in this legal dictionary: http://www.dom.se/Publikationer/Ordlista/Ordlista.pdf -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 5 hrs (2008-05-19 16:16:05 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I couldn't find one either - thus I suggested a verbatim translation. |

Compulsory Mental Care Act / Forensic Mental Care Act Explanation: This is way outside my field of expertise but the question is interesting. "Compulsory mental care is regulated by two laws in Sweden - one for mentally disturbed individuals in general and another for those who have commited crimes while suffering from one or more serious mental disorders. The law concerning the latter category is called the Forensic Mental Care Act." From Betänkande från Nationell Psykiatrisamordning, www.sou.gov.se/psykiatri/z_PDF/SOU 2006_91.pdf "The Compulsory Mental Care Act allows seriously mentally ill people to be taken into care against their wishes." From the website Sveriges Domstolar, http://www.domstol.se/templates/DV_InfoPage____2362.aspx See if this helps.../Catherine |
