Swedish to English translations [PRO]
Law/Patents - Law: Taxation & Customs / Swedish value-added tax ("Mervärdesskattelag")
Swedish term or phrase: förmedling
The context is the Swedish Value-Added Tax Act:

Förmedling av en transporttjänst enligt första eller andra stycket är omsatt inom landet, om transporttjänsten är omsatt inom landet.

"Intermediation" does not seem to be right, as it represents " brokerage function which brings together seekers and providers of goods, information, money, etc."

Thank you.

arrange

Explanation:
It just means acting as an intermediary. Both this and SvenskAmerikan's suggestion are straight from the dictionary.

intermediation

Explanation:
Your variant and your own explanation seem to up to the point.

The source texts IS about intermediation of transport services.

Very common in many industries: travel, real estate, private finance (mortgages and loans).

This piece seems to describe how VAT on this kind of intermediation is regulated/calculated in relation whether the transport service itself is delivered within the country or not.

sub-contracting

Explanation:
Hello

Not sure on this but you act as a mediator in the sense that you take on a job and then pass it on (or part of it) to others, you are sub-contracting it. Some of the other answerers seem to want to say this but perhaps have not used the right term (mediate)
