Here, the recipe:
SALTY ANCHOVY CAKE
Dough:
25 g active compressed yeast
100 g warm water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoons oil
200 g wheat flour
Filling:
3 onions
1 tablespoon olive oil
125 g anchovy or spicy Baltic herring fillets
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 yellow paprika
1/2 red paprika
15 black olives.
Dissolve the yeast in small amount of water, and then add the remaining water, salt, oil and sufficient amount of flour to make the dough firm and elastic. Cover it and raise the dough for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, make the filling: peel and slice the onions, fry them, stirring now and then, until the onions are lightly browned. Add poured off anchovy, sprinkle with the ground black pepper. Cut the paprika in strips.
Flatten out the dough into a 30 cm disc. Cover the frying pan with greaseproof paper and place the disc. Spread the onion filling over the dough. Make squares from paprika strips and put an olive in the middle.
Bake on the upper part of the oven at 200 C for 20-25 minutes. Cut the cake warm and serve at supper or with drinks.

Hi again::: Just wanted to add this note... since George didn\'t like the word cake. If you too decide that you don\'t want to refer to this as a cake ... then I found the following example
Smorgastorta:
Savory Sandwich Torte with Smoked Salmon, Egg Salad & Cream Cheese
Some like to refer to it as a sandwich-cake too!!
