agree  SafeTex: Yes. One little point if I may. They are not necessarily ramps etc. Pictures on Google also show places on the beach suitable to launch a small boat (no rocks, favorable currents, not too deep immediately)

-> Thanks, I had a response last nite that didn't make it in here, but a agree that slipway isn't in the running.

disagree  Sven Petersson: The expression "Båtramper och iläggningsplatser" strongly indicates that the translation of "iläggningsplatser" can not be "boat ramp/slipway".

-> Naturally you miss my point. You disagree with 'correct' answers (mine or others'), and with reasonable answers (mine or other's), when you have answered. With 5 answers, you have one and 4 have 1 disagree from you. You are being irresponsible in this.

agree  Michael Ellis: I would translate the whole phrase as 'boat ramps and slipways at Sommen' . See http://boatlaunch.co.uk/default.aspx?page=display&nodeid=169... where the terms are used interchangably.

disagree  Deane Goltermann: Here's one from your library -- 'inte kan man översätta ordet 'iläggning' till launch inte! Are you launching the Titanic? I strongly suggest your habit of disagreeing at all times is highly irresponsible.

-> Try "canoe launch" for size! 148.000 Google hits! - I intend to continue to disagree with your wrong answers.

agree  Adrian MM. (X): http://infodalarna.se/sv/category/38/article/1195.html and nowt to do with resting places for hot-and-bothered svenska osv. tjejer och killer.
