Swedish term or phrase:fotbollskola(n)
I am preparing some stuff for my son's football team that goes to Sweden for a tournament.
Which is the correct phrase:
"Minsk fotbollskolan 5" eller "Minsk fotbollskola 5"?
Tack så mycket.
Oh, no! It's not meant to mislead. It's meant to inform. There's many more than 5 football schools in Minsk. In fact, if we say we're just "Minsk fotbollsskola", how do we distinguish ourselves from other Minsk schools (there are like 15 minimum). Even in the same tournament (Dalecarlia Cup) there will be another Minsk school's team. So, if your precaution is not grammatical, I perceive that's OK. Thanks for correcting my formula by adding an "s" and distracting an "n".
"Minsk Fotbollsskola 5" implies that there are at least 5 football schools in Minsk (which is not the case). Swedes would perceive "Minsk Fotbollsskola 5" as an attempt to mislead them. Need I say more?
"#" is not used in Swedish for number.
