Explanation:
Sven is right!
I thought it would be The (Swedish) Defense forces as it conform better with ideology (Sweden does not go to war or use arms - it defends itself)
but the official translation used is what Sven suggests:

Försvar is often a euphemism for the military. You don't say the Swedish Defense Force in US English. It is also called the department of defense (the Pentagon), or the ministry of defence elsewhere if you wish to emphasize a government agency.
