Swedish to English translations [PRO] Marketing - Furniture / Household Appliances
Swedish term or phrase:tåla ögats slitage
The context is about design of rooms etc. that need to
"tåla ögats slitage". I was thinking along the lines of "easy on the eye" in the sense of something you could look at time and time again without tiring of it, i.e. a design that will still look good in the longer term, but would be grateful if someone could confirm I'm on the right track (or that I'm totally wrong or missing a much better alternative). Thanks.
I think you are right. Alternatively "never loses its visual appeal", "you never get tired of looking at it etc. Certainly not the nonsensical translation with "wear (and tear) of the eye".
