Swedish to English translations [Non-PRO] General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters
Swedish term or phrase:Mycket trevligt
Probably ridiculously easy, but I don't speak a word of Norwegian! This comes up in an English text I'm editing. A Norwegian hotel has just welcomed its four millionth guest.
“Mycket trevligt” , was celebrated guest Mr X's immediate response after receiving flowers, a gift certificate and of course champagne from the hotel's General Manager and senior staff.
Since the text is for an international audience, I think I need to give them a clue. Judging by entries in the KOG, it means something like 'very nice' but I'd welcome confirmation from you Norwegian specialists!
I'll probably add something like "Fantastic", "Great" or "How wonderful", as your suggestion sounds a bit on the quaint side in the context ;-)) Thanks, Per. 3 KudoZ points were awarded for this answer
