This is the heading of a section in a text dealing with the objectives of a department of a medical university. I seem unable to find a translation of "beforska". Any suggestions welcome.

agree  Hugh Curtis: So the "be" in become is from Swedish, via German, right

  -> Don't think so. If it had been a loanword, I think it would have been directly from German, but actually I believe it's from old Anglo-Saxon "bicumen" or something of the kind. But related to German "bekommen".
