You could translate it as ´if you have received compensation by mistake´, or something like that.

However, I think I would prefer to keep the issues separate - the person who has received compensation must return it, if they should not have had it in the first place for whatever reason.
Then it is up to the insurers or whoever is paying compenation to pay out the correct amount and deal with the mistake or other reason for the incorrect payment. This need not concern the customer receiving the compensation.

´... Paid too much´ and ´compensation you are not entitled to´ indicate fairly strongly that something is wrong somewhere.

As I understand it, the whole sentence would read: Återbetalning ska göras av belopp som betalas ut för mycket om någon på annat sätt förorsakat<b/> att ersättning utgått obehörigen. This suggests that if someone in any other way (from what has previously been discussed?) has caused a payment to be wrongly made, this sum shall be reimbursed.
