Swedish term or phrase: Brytsäkring
Brytsäkring is used on the external part of a door handle, attached to the spindle it breaks if anyone uses force to open the door which is locked from the inside. some kind of connector between the inner and outer handle of the door.Security something?

If the idea is that the door cannot be opened from the outside, then the system must still protect someone in the inside? Enlighten me.

Thank you. The door has two handles, external and internal. Usually the internal door handle has a catch on the inside which locks the door. If a burglar tries to force open the door from the outsiude the break-in "security" device snaps and the outer handle is then rendered useless. Hope this helps! Your tip has helped me, but I am still looking for something else, perhaps security breaker or security pin or whatever.
