...but rather, a person who should be a part of my life Explanation: good day. i apologize for the rather delayed answer, but here's the word-for-word explanation: "kundi" = but rather "isa(ng)" = one (or "a") "tao(ng)" = person (this can be confused as "year", because the word "taon" means year, but when a Tagalog native reads the whole sentence, there's no doubt that this means "tao" or "person") "dapat" = need or should "maging" = to be "bahagi" = part or portion "ng" = of "akin(g)" = my "buhay" = life. Thus, when somebody gives you this phrase, there is reason to be feel very important, because the person considers you so.
