More context is definitely needed on this one, but: Explanation: Perhaps, if it is not historical, it means "a pact - an alliance - of lions". If it is historical it might be refering to the pre-Spain kingdoms on the Iberian Peninsula, one of which was the kingdom of Leon and Castille. Regards. Luis Luis |

See below Explanation: Ernesto: "Pacto leonino", in good law/patents language, as in this case, means a deal in which only one side has all the advantages, it's something like: 4/5 for me, 1/5 for you. Could be translated as: "non-advantageous agreement" (that is, for the losing side). Good luck! |

one-sided contract Explanation: This is what I have found in an official document: (ii) Preferred Stock. Peruvian companies may issue various types of shares, which provide for a variety of rights. However, the right to vote (except in the case of the nonvoting shares mentioned above, Footnote 7) and to receive dividends, as well as exposure to losses, may not be completely revoked as this would represent what is called a "pacto leonino" [one-sided contract] (Article 7 of the Corporations Law). The differences between common and preferred stocks include the number of members of the board of directors that each type of stock can elect, the amount of dividends for each type of stock, and preferential rights in the liquidation of assets or the reduction of capital. |

Suerte! |

One-side agreement Explanation: "Pacto leonino", in good Spanish, focus to an agreement where only one party is benefited. Also: "intereses leoninos", "condiciones leoninas", etc. Translation is my conception, no data. |
