"Kutch" is generally used for a little quantity or qyality and its substitues
in English can be FEW,SOME,A LITTLE,
LESS......,e.g. " KUTCH KHUSIAN" means "some happinesses",Kutch rupia
means 'a little money"
Hope this will work for you.

See, the earlier answer could be right so can this one be. The translation of 'kuch' would depend entirely on the context in which it appears.

If you said 'kuch seb dena', it would be 'give me some apples', so the meaning would be 'some'/few.

But if you went to say, the well known of a certain Hindi movie, 'Kuch Kuch hota hai', it would mean 'something happens'.

Or if you said 'mujhe kuch dikhai nahi de raha', it would be 'I can not see anything', here the meaning would be close to 'something'.

Thus, it would really depend on the context in which the word is used. It could help if you supplied more context.
