For unclear reasons, LinkedIn decided to block access to my account in July 2025 and keep it permanently locked, after I received an email that my password was successfully changed (while I was asleep). I cannot submit a government issued ID because my legal names don't match the name that I use in daily life and that everyone knows me by, and that I use on LinkedIn. LinkedIn currently does not appear to offer an option to submit a "same name affidavit" but I am in the process of trying to restore my LinkedIn account. Please be patient.

I am an experienced native Dutch translator residing in the US since 1994 with a BA in Psychology from Tilburg University in the Netherlands. I have been providing professional translation, localization, transcreation, editing and proofing services in the fields of medicine, science, IT, technology, psychology, marketing and more since 2008.

I am interested in providing solid website and/or marketing localization for companies that want to be represented well in either Dutch or English. Currently I am specializing in boating, yachting, sailing, navigation, and other nautical materials. Generally, I like to 'dive deep' into the topics that I am translating, so new subjects are welcome too!

Your texts are in safe hands with me. I'll localize them with great attention to detail, using the best language for your purpose. Research, context and nuance are my specialties.

Although not my native tongue, I also provide Dutch to English translations in collaboration with native speakers. Occasionally I accept French/German into Dutch/English projects.
