The ProZ.com community book is a project initiated to help translators, interpreters, and other language professionals to spread useful information and become published authors promoting themselves as experts in a given field or topic.

The book will feature articles written by ProZ.com members on topics of interest to the translation community.

All site members are invited to submit an article to be reviewed for possible inclusion in the book.

 

What topics will be covered by the book?

Contributions may pertain to any topic that is of interest to the translation community. Here is a non-exhaustive list of possible article subjects:

  • Cloud-based translation tools
  • New technology in the translation industry
  • Specializing
  • Marketing for translators, resources and ROI
  • Proofreading, translation quality, Q&A
  • Translation services and resources

What are the requirements and guidelines to submit an article?

This initiative is open to ProZ.com paying members only. All submissions must be in English, unpublished and of interest to translators, interpreters, or other language professionals (i.e. within ProZ.com's scope). ​For further details, visit the article submission page. What are the benefits of participating in this project?

Having an article included in a ProZ.com community book is a way to share your expertise and to promote yourself in your subject area. It helps you stand out from the rest, and to get noticed as an expert in your field and as a published author!

Additionally, contributors will be rewarded with three months of ProZ.com full membership and promotion of their names and profiles throughout the site and in social networks.

 

What will the copyright policy of the book be?

Book copyright will be assigned exclusively to ProZ.com.

 

How will be the book distributed?

Initially, the ProZ.com community book will be made available to all site members in PDF format in the Books section of the site. See other books for sale at ProZ.com →

 

The article submission phase has now ended. 
 
If you are still interested in contributing an article to be included in the ProZ.com community book, you may make an extension request via the site's support center. Site staff will notify all authors whose contributions have been selected for final inclusion.
