WEATHER UPDATE 1 JULY 2012

This is to confirm that, because the weather looks largely OK, we will meet as planned on Bruntsfield Links at 2pm today. You might want to bring a raincoat/umbrella though, just in case there is the odd shower!

By now, you should all have received details of where to meet. Please message me or call 07932 596533 if you did not receive this mail!

May I suggest...whatever happens weatherwise or otherwise, how about going to Julian's flat in the evening to watch the EURO 2012 final? (Or to a pub, alternatively.)

Does anyone know of any pubs in the vicinity that will be showing the football? I am not a football fan myself but will happily prop up the bar while everyone else watches it!

Also, we'll be asking people to bring along some things to cook on the BBQ and anything they'd like to share with the group - last year I think we had signature salads of various sorts, homemade hummus, some cakes and cheesecake, and some brilliant homemade pastries. So get ready to show off your culinary skills... See more

I couldn't make it last year, but this year, I will be joining you! I can't wait to taste the variety of salads Rebecca described, AND the most exciting bit is the football match, which is going to be a hell of a match!

Both the Links Bar and the Golf Tavern are only a few minutes away and have multiple screens to show the football. Now let's just hope 1. that Spain make it to the final and 2. for better weather for the barbecue!
