Welcome to my profile!
My name is Kristine, and I am thirty-four years old now. I have an MA degree from Lancaster University and a four-year doctoral studies diploma in Social Science (PhD candidate). For the last ten years, I have been working for international organizations, including United Nations and United States International Agency for International Development.
I am fluent in ALL THREE languages I offer translation services - English, Russian, and Armenian. My first mother tongue is Armenian: I was born and grown up in Armenia. My second mother tongue is Russian - the second official language in the Soviet Union that Armenia was part of until 1991. Due to my education, professional career, and residence in the United States, I am fluent in English language.
Below is the summary of my education and professional experience:
2007 - Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, Polish Academy of Sciences (PhD Candidate).
2003 - Lancaster University (Master of Arts in Society and Politics)
2001 - Yerevan State University (Master of Arts in Sociology)
1999 - Yerevan State University (Bachelor's Degree in Sociology)
2004 - Caucasus Regional Center for Refugees and Internally Displaced People (network facilitator)
2005-2007 - United Nations Development Programme (project officer)
2007-2010 - United States International Agency for International Development
2012 - United Nations Development Programme, Headquarters in New York.
I am author of 4 scientific publications, and my recent contribution was for the collection of articles "New Europe. Growth to Limits"published by Bardwell Press in Oxford, 2010.
I am professional in writing and translating research/survey reports, market research papers, desk-reviews, strategy and policy papers, project documents, publications, PR materials, official communications, website and newspaper texts.
I am reluctant to online or offline translation software unless it's required by the client. My believe is that they are not as careful as I am in choosing the right words that preserve rather than alter the original meaning of the text.
I ALWAYS deliver on time.
Please contact me and we can always discuss and negotiate the details.
