I am a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Yale University with distinction in Italian and International Studies.
I have a passion for language study because I feel that languages provide a window into other cultures. This has inspired me to study all the languages that I speak in their native countries: Italy in Bologna, French while working in Paris for a summer, German at the Goethe Institute in Hamburg and Spanish in Antigua Guatemala. I have used my languages to facilitate communication while working as an Italian, Spanish and French interpreter in hospitals, as a legal translator at the Observer Mission of the Order of Malta and at Yale University, as an interpreter in schools, and as a senior translator for news articles. I am also enthusiastic about helping others learn languages; I have worked at the Dante Alighieri Institute teaching Italian classes, as a tutor at the Yale College Tutoring Program and tutoring privately.
