I am a Japanese-speaking area specialist with a BA degree in Japanese from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, and an MSc degree in Japanese from the University of Oxford.
Previous translation experience includes translating recorded speeches for TedTalks (see my profile at http://www.ted.com/profiles/translations/id/715952) and being responsible for the complete Japanese-to-English translation of the guidebook “San-in Kojiki Tabi Guide” by Seiji Tarao.
I speak Finnish (mother tongue), English (fluent) and Japanese (fluent - passed Level 1, the highest level of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test).
I have an excellent sense of grammar and language, and am an accurate and passionate translator. I am interested in any translation or localisation jobs.
