I am a languages and communications professional with a passion for translation and localization.

My core competences include languages (Finnish, Japanese, English), translation/localization and inter-cultural understanding.

I am a native Finnish speaker and, having graduated with a Master's degree in Japanese Studies from the University of Oxford in the UK, I have full proficiency in both written and spoken Japanese and in English.

I have experience of doing translation and localization work in various settings.

In my previous job at a destination management company I frequently undertook interpreting and translation tasks (such as translating marketing materials, website content and copy for Finnish companies and interpreting for Japanese researchers and professionals related to the fields of education, health and social welfare).

I've also worked as a translation and localization specialist at an IT company.

I am currently based in Helsinki, Finland but am interested in all kinds of translation and localization tasks.
