I am fluent in German and can translate Spanish, French, and Haitian Creole. I have a BS degree in entomology from Cornell University New York State College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. My areas of expertise would be any articles pertaining to entomology or agriculture in general, as well as general biology or natural science. The most recent thing I have done in this field is the translation of a long article on mushrooms native to Wales. This article was in English and I had to translate it into Spanish for a Peruvian biologist, who would be glad to give me a reference ([email protected]). Also, I routinely translate short stories on a volunteer basis for Deaf Friends International, an international Christian organization for young people with hearing difficulties. My contact person for this organization is Jeanne Griffen and she will gladly give me a reference ([email protected]). I have a Gateway pentium computer with Windows 98 and Office 2000. Since I have lived in Germany, I feel competent to translate articles of a general nature and those in my area of expertise from any of the languages that I listed into German. This I would definitely do at a bargain price since they might need proofreading. My hobbies and interests include butterfly collecting, gardening, poultry raising, science fiction and fantasy, and I have read books on these subjects in the languages I have listed.
